The Roseline Shark (Sahyadria denisonii), also known as the Denisonii Barb or Red-Line Torpedo Barb, is a striking and energetic schooling fish prized for its bold red lateral stripe, sleek silver body, and vibrant yellow-and-black tail markings. Active, peaceful, and highly visible in the aquarium, Roseline Sharks make an impressive centerpiece species for medium to large, planted community tanks. Their fast, fluid swimming and shimmering colors bring constant movement and beauty to any aquascape.

Temperament

  • Peaceful and active

  • Best kept in groups of 5+ to reduce stress and aggression

Adult Size

  • 4.5–6 inches

Minimum Tank Size

  • 55 gallons for a small group

  • Larger tanks recommended due to swimming activity

Diet

  • Omnivorous
