Dwarf Orange Mexican Crayfish

Scientific Name: Cambarellus patzcuarensis "Orange"
Common Names: CPO Crayfish, Orange Dwarf Crayfish, Mexican Dwarf Lobster
Origin: Captive-bred (originally native to Mexico)

Feeding

Will eat just about anything, including:

  • Sinking pellets & wafers

  • Blanched veggies (zucchini, spinach, cucumber)

  • Frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp)

  • Algae & leftover fish food

Supplement calcium-rich foods for proper molting.


Notes

  • Provide caves, rocks, or plants for hiding during molting

  • Completely safe for live plants

  • Can be kept singly, in pairs, or small groups (well-fed = no aggression)

  • Does not dig or destroy aquascapes like larger crayfish
