The Peppered Cory (Corydoras paleatus) is one of the most classic and beloved corydoras species in the aquarium hobby, known for its attractive speckled pattern and reliable, peaceful nature. With their metallic green and gold base color covered in dark speckles, these hardy bottom-dwellers are active scavengers that add both visual interest and constant activity to the aquarium floor. Temperament

  • Peaceful, social schooling fish

  • Best kept in groups of 6 or more for natural behavior

Adult Size

  • 2–2.5 inches

Minimum Tank Size

  • 20 gallons for a small school
