The Bolivian Ram (Mikrogeophagus altispinosus) is a beautiful and peaceful dwarf cichlid known for its subtle, yet attractive coloration and hardy nature compared to its German Blue Ram relatives. These charming fish display a golden base color with subtle blue and red accents, and distinctive black markings on their fins. With their peaceful temperament and adaptability to a wider range of water conditions, Bolivian Rams make excellent choices for community aquariums and are more forgiving for beginners interested in keeping dwarf cichlids.
