Royal Gramma Basslet Gramma loreto

Gramma loreto, (no not Jared Leto) has a split color pattern with its front half purple and its back half a bright orange or yellow. Like many other Basslets, they should not be housed with other Basslets to avoid aggression, but can be kept safely and peacefully in a reef tank with other tank mates.  Corals and larger invertebrates like shrimp are safe tank mates with most Basslets. Royal Gramma's diet should include a variety of live or frozen mysis shrimp and vitamin enriched brine shrimp, Frozen prepared diets and high-quality flake foods, 1-2 times daily.

We recommend an aquarium size at least 20 gallons for Royal Grammas, this will provide them with ample space so long as the aquarium is not overstocked. Stable water parameters, proper filtration, and suitable lighting are essential for their health and well-being.
