Diet

Micro-predator; accepts:

  • High-quality micro pellets & nano granules

  • Live/frozen foods (daphnia, baby brine shrimp, cyclops)

  • Crushed flake or powder foods for small fish


Behavior & Compatibility

  • Best kept in groups of 8+ to reduce stress and encourage natural schooling.

  • Ideal tankmates: small rasboras, celestial pearl danios, chili rasboras, small corydoras, shrimp-safe when well-fed.

  • Avoid large or aggressive fish.


Aquarium Setup

  • Planted, low-flow tank with open swimming space

  • Fine substrate, driftwood, and floating plants preferred

  • Dim or subdued lighting enhances color


Breeding

  • Egg scatterers; spawn in fine plants or moss

  • Separate fry from adults for higher survival rate

  • Feed fry infusoria or powdered fry food
